Ron Ables and myself have been trying to locate a photo of the first ops.building and SCR-270 radar. Ron was able to contact Phil Ensor who was with the start up crew in 1950 and 1951. Phil helped put up SCR-270 and build the building's. Unfortunately he didn't take any pictures of the event. Ron and I arrived in 1952 and departed in 1954, nether of us took a photo of the ops. building or the radar. Why?? we don't know!! ( building was pushed over the side in late 1953). Can anyone who may have been TDY to Okino, provide a photo or two?? Stan.  mcarlsrud@wah.midco.net
